About the Owner

My experience in the electrical industry started when I was eighteen years old.  I began working for a large electrical contractor in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  My first major project as an apprentice electrician was in 1984; the renovation of a large historic building in downtown Grand Rapids.  I knew nothing of the electrical industry but my father said if you work hard and consistently look for the next task before you, you will be fine.

This simple advice has worked really well for me throughout my career.  I worked my way through the apprenticeship to becoming a journeyman, and in 1989 I was selected to be a foreman on a new seven story project in Grand Rapids.

My desire for growth eventually led to a Project Manager/Estimator position.  In 2001, I began a 10 year career with Feyen Zylstra.  Three years into that career, I moved my family to Northern Michigan to manage their branch office in Traverse City.  

Isenhart Electric LLC was formed in January 2012.  Our foundation is built on that very same advice that my father gave years earlier; "Work hard and continue to look for the next task in front of you."
